For parents
Lantern Path Games is a free browser games site for kids and teens. This page states what the site does and does not do, so you can decide for yourself.
- No chat, messages or comments. Where a game offers co-op, it uses a private room code and has no chat.
- No accounts, no sign-up and no email address collected.
- One anonymous friend counter for invite links: it stores a random code and a scrambled random browser id, nothing personal.
- No advertising and nothing to buy.
- No analytics. Scores, records, achievements and settings are saved in the browser on the device being used and are not uploaded.
- Nothing to download or install. Games run in the browser.

Questions parents and kids ask
Are the games free?
Yes. All 66 games on Lantern Path Games are free to play. There is nothing to buy and no subscription.
Do I need to download or install anything?
No. The games run in the web browser on a computer, laptop, Chromebook, tablet or phone. There is nothing to download or install.
Do I need an account or to sign up?
No. There are no accounts, no sign-up and no email address to give. You open a game and play.
Is there chat or any way for strangers to contact players?
No. The site has no chat, no messages, no comments and no usernames. Where a game offers co-op, it uses a private room code that you share yourself, and it has no chat.
Are there ads?
No. The site carries no advertising and no ad code, and nothing is sold inside the games.
What information does the site collect?
Almost none. Scores, records, achievements, badges and settings are saved in your own browser on the device you play on and are not uploaded. The one exception is the friend counter: if you share an invite link, the site keeps a count for it. It stores only a random code that your browser made up, a scrambled random id for each browser that opened a link, and the time. It stores no name, nickname, IP address or account. A nickname typed into a challenge link travels inside that link only and is never stored by the site. Clearing the site data in your browser erases them. The site has no analytics.
Does it work on a Chromebook, tablet or phone?
It runs in a modern web browser, so it works on Chromebooks, laptops, tablets and phones. Each game page lists the keyboard and touch controls for that game, because some games suit a keyboard and some suit touch.
What ages is it for?
The site is made for kids, teens and families. 55 of the 66 games are rated Everyone and are the ones listed on the kids page. 11 are rated Teen, so parents may want to look at those first.
Who makes the games?
Lantern Path Games is an Australian games site. The games are original and made in Australia.
